Nashville-Area Home Sales Continue Upswing

Nashville area home closings increased more than 18 percent last month, extending a streak of year-over-year gains, even as interest rates rose to a two-year high coming out of the peak summer selling season.

The median price for a single-family home jumped 10.8 percent year over year. But month over month, that price was down from June and July, following a similar pattern to last year.

Williamson’s Median Home Sales Price is Highest on Record

Williamson CountyFRANKLIN – The median home price in Williamson County continued to rise in August as the days the typical home was on the market continued to shrink, according to data from the Williamson County Association of Realtors.

The median price in August for a single family residential unit was $389,950 in August, an increase of 15 percent compared to August of 2012 and the highest August median on record.
