Privately owned housing starts in March grew by 2.8 percent, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, but at a slower rate than last year.
There were 946,000 starts, according to the bureau. That was 5.9 percent below the March 2013 rate of 1,005,000.

Nashville can expect to witness a new record-high sales price for an apartment complex very soon — potentially by the end of this month.
Southern Land Co. has selected a buyer for its Elliston 23 mixed-use apartment complex, located in Midtown within walking distance of Vanderbilt University and Centennial Park, according to Southern Land’s Michael McNally.

Nashville Chefs to Compete on New Travel Channel Show
