May Start Eyed for Riverfront Condo Building

A May groundbreaking is being targeted for what had been called The Water Tower Condominiums to be located on the west bank of the Cumberland River in North Capitol.
Dennis Devine is serving as developer of the high-end seven-story condo building at 700 First Ave. North. It will offer 39 residences.

Metro Unveils Ambitious Parks Vision

Metro officials unveiled a plan to ramp up investment in Nashville’s parks system and began to make the case for funding large-scale improvements.
“Plan To Play,” will refresh Metro Parks Department’s master plan, which was adopted in 2002 and updated 6 years later. The city’s parks system encompasses nearly 16,000 acres of open space that includes 185 parks and 19 greenways; more than 6,300 of those acres have been added since 2002.

Melrose Billiard Parlor, which originally opened in 1944, reopened at the end of 2016 under the direction of A.Ray Hospitality. A.Ray Hospitality owns and operates two other nearby restaurants — M.L. Rose and The Sutler — and has been at the forefront of bringing new life to the Melrose area since 2008.
